Stories were brought to life in front of the eyes of pupils from Harpur Hill Primary School thanks to a storytelling event at Barratt Homes' High Peak Meadow development in Buxton.
The schoolchildren were invited to the nearby development for a morning of magical storytelling, which was hosted in one of the High Peak Meadow show homes to mark National Storytelling Week.
The UK's leading housebuilder invited professional storyteller, Phil Coggins, to spend the morning at the development to tell engaging, interactive stories to the pupils.
Mrs V. Giliker, Head Teacher at Harpur Hill Primary School, said: “the storytelling session was great and the children who took part all enjoyed listening to Phil's stories. We would like to say a big thank you to Barratt Homes for inviting us to participate, and we look forward to taking part in similar activities with the company in the future.”
National Storytelling Week ran from February 1st to February 8th with a view to uniting both children and adults through the customary pastime of storytelling.
Michaela Lancaster, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Manchester, said: “It was a pleasure to have pupils from Harpur Hill Primary School at our High Peak Meadow development this week, and Phil's stories really enchanted the children which was great to see.
“Events such as these give Barratt Homes the opportunity to make a difference in the communities they build by encouraging National Storytelling Week which promotes skills such as reading, writing, listening and creativity.”
High Peak Meadow currently has a selection of three bedroom homes available priced from £218,000
