Sell Your Home Without Any Fees With Barratt

Barratt Homes

ARE you dreaming of moving to a new home but worried about the cost of selling your existing property? Then look no further than to Barratt Mercia's Movemaker service which is currently available at its developments in Warwickshire.

The Movemaker scheme is a popular service from Barratt which takes care of selling your existing property - doing everything a good estate agent does and while taking care of the fees too.

Michelle Barnsley, Part-exchange Manager at Barratt Mercia commented, "Our Movemaker service has proven to be very popular with those who want to move to one of our brand new homes, but who are concerned about the cost of selling their old home.

"With the scheme we do everything a good estate agent does. We arrange two independent valuations of the existing property then sell the property on the open market. This therefore offers the buyer peace of mind that they are achieving the best possible price for their home.

"Best of all, we also take care of any fees usually associated with an estate agent, which can really add up to quite a substantial amount."

For example, estate agents can often charge between 1.5 and 3 per cent commission on the sale of your home plus VAT which, on a home worth £150,000, could be as much as £4,500.

Barratt will, however, take care of marketing the property, arranging viewings and anything else associated with selling a home. Plus it will take care of the fees too.

Michelle added, "With the chance to move to a brand new home without any of the cost of selling your old home, it is no surprise that Movemaker has proven to be so popular and I am sure that many more homebuyers will find that they are able to move with our help too."

Barratt Mercia is now offering an extended five-year warranty on fixtures and fittings. The items which Barratt will cover at no extra cost to the buyer will include appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators, kitchen units, wardrobes, the central heating system, fires, doors, windows, drainage, the hot and cold plumbing system and even the driveway. The five-year guarantee of fixtures and fittings in place at the time of purchase is in addition to the existing ten-year warranty on the structure of new homes and remains valid even if the home is sold on to a new owner. The exclusive offer, which is not available from any other housebuilder, marks the culmination of an intensive programme in which the company has focused on raising further the industry-leading quality of its homes.
