Total Landlord Insurance Launch Tenants Contents Cover

Total Landlord Insurance

Total Landlord Insurance has expanded their product range to offer tenants contents cover for the first time. They are also appealing to their landlords with the opportunity to benefit from ensuring their tenants' contents are adequately covered.

It is a landlord's responsibility to take out buildings insurance for their buy-to-let property which will cover the structure, fixtures and fittings. However, personal possessions brought into the property are the responsibility of the tenant.

Eddie Hooker, CEO of Total Landlord Insurance says "With rising rents and bills, the last thing that most tenants want to pay out for is an additional 'just in case' policy but should the worst happen, being able to replace old for new will seem a lot more appealing. Landlords should also recognise its importance as tenants could be more tempted to fork out to replace their most treasured items than pay next month's rent."

Under the new 'Tenants Contents' policy, jewellery, sports equipment, electrical appliances, laptops and computer equipment, games consoles, musical instruments, CDs and DVDs are all covered.

Landlords that introduce their to contents insurance with Total Landlord Insurance have the opportunity to win £50 worth of B&Q vouchers.
