Workplace specialist Area, part of Fourfront Group, has made several internal promotions as the company builds a long-term growth strategy that reflects the rapid evolution of the UK commercial property market and the appetite for flexible, innovative workplaces.

The changes see Sion Davies promoted to Chief Strategy Officer, while Justin Bass, Calvin Williams and Rupert Shaw become Divisional Directors, heading up design & build (D&B) London, D&B Regions and Trad divisions, respectively.  Their appointments continue to create a solid platform for growth, following the merger of two of its companies, Area Sq. and Cube, to form Area in Spring 2017.

Sion joined Area in 2010 and has been instrumental in growing it to what it is today. In the newly formed role of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Sion will be responsible for driving Area's growth plans, ensuring that best practice is maintained within all routes to market.  

Alongside Sion, Justin and Calvin will continue to grow Area's Design & Build business. Justin founded Area's sister company Sketch specialising in furniture solutions 11 years ago and spent a decade leading that business. Calvin joined Area 9 years ago, rising quickly from Project Director to Sales Director.  Rupert has been instrumental in leading the Business Development at Area Trad since joining in 2015, and will now oversee this division.
