Local building products manufacturer Forterra has paid for dozens of new books for a primary school in Northampton.
Forterra, which has its head office in Northampton, sponsored two classes at Duston Eldean Primary School for reading books, providing £400 which was spent on 60 books for children aged eight and nine years old.
Deputy Head Teacher Andy Stevenson said; “We're very grateful to Forterra for providing the school with these brand new books, which will boost our year 4 class selection significantly and will help our pupils' reading skills and imaginations.”
The school sponsorship was organised by Forterra as part of its school engagement programme.
Forterra's Chief Executive Stephen Harrison said; “We were very happy to provide new books for the pupils of Duston Eldean Primary School. As a responsible local business and employer, we want to donate to good causes when we can, and strengthen the community.”
