FIRST time buyers, key workers and expanding families throughout Leicestershire are being invited to David Wilson East Midlands' Home Buy Direct weekends to find out how this new Government scheme could help them get a foot up the property ladder.

These special events are being held this weekend, the 11th and 12th April at Kibworth Meadows and Humberstone Lodge.

The recently launched Home Buy Direct initiative is a new scheme that allows purchasers to buy a property for just 70 per cent of the price, David Wilson and the Government will fund the remaining 30 per cent via an equity loan which is interest free for the first five years and is payable when the home sells.

The aim of the initiative is to help first time buyers, key workers and families currently living in rented accommodation get a foot on the property. It can also help families who have a household annual income of less than £60,000 facilitate a move up the property ladder.

This scheme is available on selected properties at Kibworth Meadows in Kibworth Harcourt and Humberstone Lodge in Humberstone.
