Stories were brought to life for pupils at Cranberry Academy inside the show home of a Barratt Homes development in Alsager, following a visit from a professional storyteller.

Lloyd Mews, located on Dunnocksfold Road, was the setting for a wonderful day of stories for pupils from Cranberry Academy, where a professional storyteller was invited to tell tales inside the show home.

Carol Ferro, who goes by the name of 'Short Story Lady', was on hand to bring the children's imagination to life through some of her best told stories. A member of the Society for Storytelling, Carol specialises in oral storytelling for young children and also writes stories in her spare time.

The children learned how oral storytelling has allowed stories to survive and evolve over thousands of years, and across continents.

Mrs Jones, Principal at Cranberry Academy, said, “We all had a lovely time visiting the Lloyd Mews development for a storytelling session.

“It was a fantastic opportunity for the pupils to get to know the nearby development and also listen to some whimsical storytelling!

“We would like to thank Barratt Homes for approaching us with this kind opportunity to visit their beautiful show home, we had a fun afternoon.”
