In contrast, the development's upper 'penthouse' level incorporates dramatic slate pitched roofs inspired by the traditional buildings of the adjacent farm and Grade I Listed church.

Materials have been carefully selected from local sustainable sources to create a long lasting well insulated and low maintenance exterior including Natural Retreats signature sedum roofs, specially designed by Natural Retreats Technical Services and featured on its awarding eco-residences in Yorkshire Dales and more recently in John O'Groats. The roofs are constructed using recycled woollen matting, built up in layers and laid over a single ply waterproof membrane. Once mature the sedum bed will provide an extra layer of natural insulation to sound and heat as well as providing a colourful canvas for the views across Nefyn Bay.

A key supporter of British design, Natural Retreats have worked with key British businesses including Another Country (British Oak dining table and benches), Naughtone (British designed and manufactured sofas and chairs), and BTC Lighting to create stylish, contemporary interiors for its residences. Using only the best fixtures and fittings, Natural Retreats have ensured that the majority of items have been manufactured, as well as designed, right here in the UK.
