New Homes Coming Soon To Godmanchester

David Wilson Homes - East Midlands

Homebuyers will soon have an exciting opportunity to own a new property in Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire, as David Wilson Homes and sister company Barratt Homes announce plans to build a brand new development of 753 homes.

The five-star homebuilder has just purchased land at Bearscroft Farm, on the southern outskirts of Godmanchester, from Marchfield (Strategic Land) Ltd.  A detailed planning application for a range of traditional homes is expected to be submitted by the end of the year, with construction work anticipated to start in Spring 2015.

Chris Hatfield, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes South Midlands, said, “We're delighted to have secured the land for our new development in Godmanchester which will provide much needed new homes and employment opportunities to Cambridgeshire.

“As a local homebuilder, we aim to make our developments as sustainable as possible; to that end, we plan to contribute a great deal towards public facilities and infrastructure, in addition to building quality new homes, ensuring that the local community will benefit from these improvements for many years to come.”

The developer prides itself on building exceptional homes in the finest locations and was recently merited the maximum five star rating in a customer satisfaction survey ran by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for the unrivalled fifth consecutive year.
