PropertyPage, the Facebook app for estate agents by Webdadi, has released its most revolutionary update yet with the launch of a property search app in Facebook.
The app (http://apps.facebook.com/propertypage) has been designed with unique features which take advantage of the social elements of Facebook, and apply them to the property market to give users more information than the traditional website portals.
Property hunters can discover information about potential areas they want to live, viewing comments and recommendations from existing residents, as well as viewing local schools and stations.
They can compare prices of houses and flats across several areas to see exactly what their budget will buy them across the different areas of London.
They can also share this information with friends and relatives to get advice on the properties they have found, or to share the information with flat mates.
Company Chairman David Murray-Hundley says "I want to see Webdadi become the UK's leading property social media platform within two years, and to change the way in which consumers buy property."
The app is currently free to list for any Webdadi customer. It's being launched in BETA across the London area, and Webdadi are actively encouraging agents to give them feedback on the app, as well as sharing their thoughts on what they would want from a social media solution such as this.
