The community summer celebration for new and existing residents at Royal Albert Wharf in London's Royal Docks, is organised by Notting Hill Sales in conjunction with the Bow Arts Trust to celebrate the London Festival of Architecture.

With a live jazz band, face painting, art and photography exhibitions, plus an array of food from around the world, new and existing residents at Royal Albert Wharf in London's Royal Docks, were given a day to remember at a community Summer Celebration.

The event, held on Saturday 24th June, was organised by Notting Hill Sales in conjunction with the Bow Arts Trust, to celebrate the London Festival of Architecture (LFA). A month-long celebration, the LFA celebrates the ever-changing London skyline, heralding the best in architectural design across the city, with a raft of events, tours and exhibitions. In 2017, the LFA focused on people's memories of the capital; Royal Albert Wharf has an interesting history as a point of global connection, and is now a place for new residents and businesses to live and work together and create future memories.

The event was the perfect opportunity to bring together current residents and potential purchasers to enjoy the views at Royal Albert Wharf. The occasion was celebrated with a photography exhibition, showcasing the site's colourful past and exciting development into its current form. The Bow Arts Trust held activities including drawings by local artist and Royal Albert Wharf resident Anna Gibb, created especially for the event in response to the history of the site, and a mechanical art exhibition from artist-in-residence Stephen “Fire the Inventor” Guy.

Jenny Murphy, Head of Sales and Marketing comments: “The Royal Albert Wharf Summer Celebration was a great day with a genuine neighbourly atmosphere. The afternoon provided a wonderful opportunity for around one hundred and fifty existing and soon-to-be-residents to get a real sense of the vibrant, friendly community that is growing at Royal Albert Wharf and appreciate how public space is a fundamental part of this scheme.

“This year's LFA theme is memories, particularly relevant for Royal Albert Wharf, as the area has such a rich history as part of London's vibrant Docklands. The extensive regeneration of the site is creating a brand new neighbourhood which is bringing the area alive with hundreds of new homes. Royal Albert Wharf is fast becoming an attractive hub in the Royal Docks, with open public spaces, leisure facilities   and local amenities – all the perfect ingredients for a thriving community.”

Established as part of the regeneration of the Royal Docks, Royal Albert Wharf will deliver over 1,500 new homes in several different tenures, as well as new garden squares, and a variety of community amenities.

Boasting a superb waterside location, bright, open-plan living spaces in many apartments feature full-height windows and doors. These lead out to private balconies, terraces or winter gardens, maximising natural sunlight that allows residents to make the most of their prime position beside the water.

Gallions Reach Shopping Park is just a short distance away, offering a range of shops and restaurants along with a Tesco Extra store. For high-end boutiques and a plethora of great restaurants, Westfield Stratford City and Canary Wharf are also within easy reach. Canning Town is just a 12-minute journey on the DLR from Gallions Reach, offering quick access to Canary Wharf (19 minutes), London Bridge (22 minutes) and Waterloo (25 minutes) via the Jubilee Line.

Properties at Royal Albert Wharf are available to purchase through private sale or with Shared Ownership. Perfect for young city professionals, Shared Ownership offers an affordable way onto the ladder. The scheme allows purchasers to buy between 25% and 75% of the property value, paying subsidised rent on the remainder. Residents can then increase their share at any time, all the way up to 100% and outright ownership.

Prices start at £105,000 for a 25% share of a two-bedroom apartment at Royal Albert Wharf (full purchase price £420,000) and from £136,250 for a 25% share of a three-bedroom apartment (full purchase price £545,000). A selection of three bedroom triplex apartments are also available, priced from £151,250 for a 25% share of £605,000. To buy outright, properties start from £362,500 for a one bedroom apartment, from £490,000 for a two bedroom apartment, and from £700,000 for a three bedroom apartment.
