Santa has cleared his busy schedule and made a stop to Barratt Homes' Lloyd Mews development in Alsager, to meet some of the families spending their first Christmas in the new community.
Lloyd Mews, which is located on Dunnocksfold Road, has a collection of three and four bedroom homes available, with many families in the area flocking to the development just in time for the festive season.
Mr Claus, who will travel an estimated 510 million km on Christmas Eve, flying at around 10 million km per hour in order to make the 233 million stops on his list, popped over to the development to welcome new residents to the area.
The visit was organised by the local branch of an international organisation, Alsager and District Round Table; an international group of men between 18 and 45 who aim to contribute personally to the communities in which they live.
The organisation raises funds for those in the local area through its events, such as the Santa Float and has collected money for its charity fund, which is available to surrounding residents who can apply for a grant in aid of a worthy cause.
Barratt Homes donated £100 to the organisation in support of its charity fund, which has recently helped provide a specially designed child seat for a local toddler living with Multiple Sclerosis, and a free Christmas meal for pensioners in the area.
Nick Heath, Chairman of the Alsager and District Round Table, said: “We were very pleased to hear that Barratt Homes were keen to provide us with a donation for our organisation and it's a pleasure to see a developer support the local area in which it is building.
“We would like to say a big thank you to Barratt Homes for its generosity which we greatly appreciate. It was great fun to visit the new estate and bring some Christmas cheer to the development!”
Lynton Dudgeon, Sales Director at Barratt Homes North West, added: “We were delighted to have received a visit from Santa himself just before the Christmas season and for him to meet the new residents at the development.
“We'd like to thank the Alsager District and Round Table for organising the visit and for their work within the local community, which has made a massive difference to the surrounding area.”
Lloyd Mews has a range of three and four bedroom homes available from £206,995.
