The $35.4 million Sorell development in Lyons, Canberra, will be officially opened by Member for Brindabella Mick Gentleman MLA on Wednesday March 26. The project is a successful joint venture partnership between the ACT Government Community Services Directorate and Hindmarsh Development.

Sorell comprises 132 apartments across three buildings and was built by Hindmarsh Construction in a prime s integrated business model. Construction commenced in June 2012 and was completed earlier this month.

Sorell represents the successful revitalisation of the former Burnie Court community housing precinct, in line s vision.

The development has been extremely well received by buyers, with 93 apartments sold off the plan immediately following the launch in May 2011.
