A young family saw in the new year with a stress-free move to a new home in Bottesford thanks to Barratt Homes.
Daryl and Emma Hurley, along with their seven year old son Oscar, moved to a brand new four-bedroom property at Barratt Homes' Bottesford development The Wickets on 30th December – just eight weeks after reserving.
The Hurleys had fallen in love with the popular Leicestershire village prior to the move, and used the developer's Part Exchange scheme to free themselves of the stress of finding a buyer for their existing home.
Emma (37), a Commercial Development Manager, said the scheme made the process of moving home much simpler.
She said: “We love the village of Bottesford and were keen to buy here, however we needed to sell our property in Nottingham. Barratt Homes' Part Exchange scheme gave us a stress-free option to help us into our new home with ease.”
The Part Exchange scheme sees Barratt Homes purchase a buyer's current property, taking away any uncertainty and unnecessary delays during the buying process.
Following two independent valuations, buyers are offered fair market value for their old home and will have no estate agent fees to pay. The scheme can take away the stress of finding a buyer and make the move to a new home easier.
Emma continued: “Barratt Homes has been very good – both the sales team and the Site Manager have been helpful and the move has been easy going and swift. The whole process took just eight weeks, allowing us to be in our new home for the new year.”
Daryl and Emma's new home is a four-bedroom Alnwick style house – a beautifully presented detached family home featuring a spacious lounge, dining room, study and large kitchen with breakfast and family areas to the ground floor. Upstairs are the master bedroom with en suite and walk-in wardrobe, two double bedrooms, a single bedroom and family bathroom.
Daryl (38), a Technical Manager, said: “The Alnwick for us was the obvious choice. It's a lovely, spacious home that flows well. Plus being a new build it's warm and energy efficient.”
Jan Ruston, Sales Director at Barratt Homes North Midlands, said: “We're so pleased that we were able to help Daryl, Emma and Oscar into their new home at The Wickets. Their move is testament to the ease of Part Exchange for homebuyers with an existing property to sell.
“Bottesford is a charming location and it's understandable the Hurleys were keen to purchase a home here – the village atmosphere is an ideal pace for families to grow together.”
The Wickets is located off Belvoir Road in the quaint village of Bottesford, surrounded by beautiful countryside and close to historic Belvoir Castle. The development will feature a range of two, three, four and five bedroom homes.
Commuters here benefit from links to Nottingham, Leicester, Grantham, Newark, Loughborough and Lincoln by road, and even further afield with Bottesford Railway Station just 15 minutes' walk from the development.
Bottesford's attraction comes from its rural culture in a modern village setting with shops, pubs and restaurants meeting everyday needs, plus an outdoor gym, skate, bike and play park less than 10 minutes away, exercise classes and meet ups at the village hall and nearby attractions such as the castle and Twin Lakes for fun family days out.
