The Buzz Around Ossington Street, W2

Bees are a hot topic. Celebrities from the fashion world, to royalty are either saving the bee, creating bee fashions, or using bee health products. Kate Middleton had a bee venom facial before her wedding; Vivienne Westwood and Katharine Hamnett recently joined bee campaigners in London to support a ban on pesticides which harm bees; and Gwyneth Paltrow has been blogging about the health and beauty benefits of bee products. Now, Sarah Orecchia, bee campaigner and founder / director of the 'health from the hive' company, UnBEElievable Health (fans include Gwyneth Paltrow and Victoria Pendleton), is selling her London home, aptly named The Beehive.

The double fronted brick-built house is positioned on the borders of Notting Hill and Bayswater, and cleverly laid out over three floors. The brand new kitchen/dining room is on the top floor; a beautiful reception room occupies the middle floor; while downstairs are two good size bedrooms, an en suite shower room, and another big bathroom.

This is a great little house for a discerning bachelor/ette, or maybe for one of each to share. At 1,207 sq. ft. (112.11 sq. m.) it's small but unquestionably perfectly formed.

The bee-loving vendor has decked the house with an array of bee-inspired furnishings, from a beehive-replica 2' chandelier to bee candle holders, and splashes of yellow lifting the mood in the contemporary non-colours and clean lines of the interior.

Sarah Orecchia says, “If a purchaser wanted to keep the interior as it is, I'd be happy to talk about selling the house furnished, something that could appeal to a buyer who wants a hassle-free bolt hole, a holiday let, or an investment.”

Crayson is selling The Beehive, Ossington Street, W2, quoting a guide price of £1.925m.
