UBS Global Asset Management appoints new team member to European Real Estate.

UBS Global Asset Management's Global Real Estate business is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Varandas as Executive Director, Business Development – Continental Europe (ex-Germany, Switzerland, Austria) with immediate effect. Roberto will be responsible for business development across the range of real estate funds and will report to Mark Chamieh, Managing Director, Head of Global Business Development at Global Real Estate.

Roberto joins UBS from Capital & Marketing Group where he was responsible for fund raising in Southern Europe, Eastern Europe and Canada for Real Estate, Infrastructure and Private Equity.

Commenting on his appointment, Mark Chamieh said: “We are delighted Roberto has agreed to join us, at a time when we are seeing increasing interest in Europe. His joining us will bolster our expanding team.“
