Proving that a bit of fresh air really does do you the world of good, a new survey has revealed that people who have access to green spaces live longer. The survey by The Environmental Health Prospective found that people with access to a garden or living close to a park, were less likely to develop a serious illness[1]. Meanwhile Britain will be celebrating its best green spaces during National Parks Week, 25th – 31st July, encouraging everyone to discover and explore their local parks and recreational spaces. For homebuyers looking for a new home with picturesque outdoor space, Bellway's Oakwood Grange in Winnersh, Berkshire is an ideal choice, with half of the homes already sold. The striking new show home opens later this month, in time for the parkland celebrations.
The development benefits from two idyllic country parks nearby, including the notable 335-acre Dinton Pastures, and the 25 acres of Winnersh Meadow, both of which are just a few minutes' drive from home. The two parks are an ideal spot for residents seeking fresh air and unspoilt greenery, as well as indulging in outdoor pursuits, such as fishing and sailing.
Sales Director at Bellway Thames Valley, Claire Brooks McGoldrick, comments: “Property located near parks and green spaces have always been popular amongst homebuyers, and Oakwood Grange certainly has this in abundance, as well as an attractive village charm and superb transport links to major towns and cities. This is perhaps the reason why Oakwood Grange is now 50% sold since launching this spring, so we would urge homebuyers to act quickly and visit our new show home to avoid missing out.”
