The number of homebuyers being gazumped out of their chosen property is on the rise, according to emoov[1]. Gazumping refers to a buyer being outpriced by a higher bid, despite their offer already being accepted. The South East, which is the region with the second largest rate of gazumping at 16%, is home to the village of Swallowfield close to Reading, where Bellway Homes' The Willows is offering one last chance to purchase.
Buying a home at a new-build development eliminates the risk of gazumping with purchasers assured their accepted offer will not be un-done. The last remaining new homes at The Willows are also available with Part Exchange and Express Mover, speeding up the moving process and helping to reduce costs, making for a less stressful process.
Steve Garton, Sales Director at Bellway Thames Valley comments: “There are many advantages of purchasing a new build home and gazumping is one that is often overlooked. Moving home can be a lengthy process, with buyers often being outbid to secure a home, leading to frustration, disappointment and increasing the amount of time to move, often considerably. However, with our developments, the agreed purchase price is the definitive price, with a reduced chain and other incentives, such as Express Mover, to ease the process along even further.”
“The Willows has been a highly successful development, selling quickly since its launch, leaving just three houses to choose from - two four-bed detached and a five-bed detached. The homes are a brilliant option for family buyers, offering excellent specifications and are conveniently situated with nearby amenities and good transport connections. For those interested, I would urge buyers to act quickly and visit our nearby Littlebrook development, where the final homes at The Willows are being marketed.
The Twain is an appealing, four-bedroom family home, available with Part Exchange, Express Mover and Help to Buy. Residents will find a welcoming entrance hallway, leading onto an open-plan living and dining area, complete with elegant French doors onto the rear garden. The generous kitchen and breakfast area is finished with Roundel kitchen units, and soft close doors and drawers. There are a range of integrated appliances provided, such as a double AEG oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher.
To the first floor, there are four bedrooms, with the master room benefiting from a stylish en-suite shower room. The property's contemporary family bathroom serves bedrooms two, three and four - another double and two singles, and is furnished with quality Roca sanitaryware, attractive chrome brassware and heated towel rails.
Residents are blessed with a perfect blend of rural living in this small hamlet, with the benefit of being just 15 minute drive from the buzz of dynamic Reading with its mix of cultural outlets, nightlife, and classy shopping malls. Meanwhile, the popular market town of Wokingham, also within easy reach of Swallowfield, has a great selection of independent outlets, quaint cafés and unique boutiques that make it a go-to place to meet friends or do some shopping.
Residents with school-aged children are blessed with a fantastic range of options in the locality from infant through to higher education. Grazeley Parochial C of E Primary School and Shinfield St Mary's C of E Junior School, are all reachable within 10 minutes by car and for older children, the highly-regarded Bulmershe School is close. Those looking for further education options could be tempted by the multi-award winning University of Reading which is just under 20 minutes away by car.
The Willows is perfect for commuters, Wokingham train station is 15 minutes away offering speedy services to Reading, Gatwick and London Waterloo. Meanwhile the M4 motorway is less than ten minutes by car and Heathrow Airport is just 30 minutes away.
The 4-bed Twain is priced at £589,950, alternatively a 5-bed detached starts at £889,950. To register your interest or for more information, please call 0118 933 8020 or visit www.bellway.co.uk
