Bellway's New Homes 'Brings Good News' For South Ruislip

Bellway

According to latest figures from the Government, the Help to Buy scheme has helped over 150,000 homebuyers since its launch in April 2013[1]. Set up to support those who could afford mortgage repayments but had difficulty saving for a large enough deposit, 80 per cent of the households who have benefited from the scheme were first time buyers[2]. Bellway Homes North London is now offering purchasers the opportunity to also benefit from the Government backed scheme and buy one of the superb apartments available at its newly launched Avedis development.

Part of the regeneration of South Ruislip's former Arla Dairy site, Avedis is an exciting collection of 163 new homes. The development offers a contemporary a mix of one, two and three bedroom apartments, with each new home comprising carefully considered layouts to make the best use of natural light and space. Avedis, meaning 'brings good news', will become a vibrant and thriving place to live in West London, ideal for professionals, first-time buyers, downsizers and investors alike, looking for a modern property within convenient proximity of central London.

Help to Buy London will be available on selected plots at Avedis. To qualify, buyers need a deposit of 5% and a mortgage for up to 55% of the value of the home as the Government will then provide an equity loan of up to 40% of the property's value, which is interest free for the first five years.

As with all Bellway homes, attention to detail is evident throughout, demonstrated in everything from the choice of materials to the stylish integrated appliances in the kitchens and contemporary sanitaryware in the bathrooms. The apartments will enjoy a high quality specification, with open-plan living spaces, fitted wardrobes to master bedrooms, flooring throughout and allocated parking. The majority of the properties will also benefit from an outdoor space in the form of a balcony or terrace.

As part of The Old Arla Dairy redevelopment, residents at Avedis will benefit from a range of facilities including a multiplex cinema, restaurants, off-road walking and cycling routes, and a central piazza with a large supermarket. Just a few minutes' walk away, there are currently several small stores and a supermarket. A selection of independent retailers, popular chain stores, cafés, bars and restaurants can also be found on Ruislip High Street and surrounding roads, all within a ten minute drive from the development.

For residents wanting to keep active, leisure facilities nearby include Queensmead Sports Centre, which encompasses tennis and netball courts, a fitness studio, sports hall and gym, while Highgrove Leisure Centre, two miles away, has two swimming pools, a sauna and a steam room, as well as a gym and exercise studio. Ruislip Golf Course is also three miles from Avedis and West London Golf Centre is just over a mile away. Colne Valley Regional Park is situated six miles from the development and offers a wealth of opportunities for sport and outdoor pursuits, including sailing, horse riding, wind surfing, canoeing and water skiing.

The local area also boasts a number of entertainment venues including the Compass and Winston Churchill theatres which present a comprehensive programme of drama, comedy, music and dance shows. The world renowned Wembley Stadium can be reached in 20 minutes by car, and also London's theatre district, along with a world-class selection of fine dining restaurants, is just a tube journey away.

Commuters will find journeys a lot easier at Avedis, as it is located just a few minutes' walk from South Ruislip tube and rail station, from where London Underground trains run on the Central line to the City in 40 minutes or less. Chiltern Railway services also connect with Wembley Stadium and London Marylebone. If travelling by car, major roads nearby include the A40 for Hammersmith, central London and the City, the M25, and the M40 for Oxford and Birmingham.

Guide prices for a two bedroom apartment currently start from £374,995. For further information on Avedis at The Old Dairy, call: 0333 202 5170 or visit: http://www.bellway.co.uk/new-homes/north-london/avedis.
